Turn Your Vegan Dreams and Business Ideas Into Reality
Please join In Defense of Animals for a day of empowerment and support in manifesting your dreams. Maren Souders, whose Portland-based Dream Into Change practice offers emotional and strategic support to people engaging in culture-shifting activities, is bringing her “Dream Into Change Salon” to Los Angeles. After the Salon, Lisa Levinson will share free activist support resources from In Defense of Animal's Sustainable Activism Campaign. Then Dave Rubin, who helps vegans and activists to become more empowered in their lives and their activism, will lead a workshop entitled, "Transform your Life, Transform the World."
Snacks will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own vegan food or drinks if you wish. We request that you bring your own reusable plate, cup, and utensils to prevent paper or plastic waste.
The requested donation for the salon, the workshop, and In Defense of Animals’ activist resources is just $15, if you pay by Friday March 3rd at 11:59 PM, or $20 at the door. You may attend the salon, the workshop or both. Funds go to In Defense of Animals to support their efforts to improve the quality of life for all living beings. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
Dream Into Change Salon:
Have you had an idea for a vegan-related project, campaign, business, or creative endeavor floating around in your brain, but haven't really begun to work on it, and start to move it toward fruition? Or, are you in the midst of working on such a project, and you could use an infusion of enthusiasm and perhaps resource-sharing of some sort? Come to the Dream Into Change Salon: Los Angeles Vegan Edition, an informal event where everyone can share ideas while giving and receiving emotional and strategic support. Our discussion will unfold organically. There may be opportunities for collaboration and networking. The Salon is sure to energize and inspire you!
Transform Your Life, Transform the World Workshop:
In order to create the change you want in your life, it is necessary to be crystal clear about what you want your life to be. This is true whether you want to create a new business, progress in or establish a career, have more fulfilling romantic relationships, become more effective with your activism, or all of the above. Most people create a vision and fail to realize the change they want. Our internal saboteurs, time constraints, or other distractions usually get in our way. When this occurs, our present, familiar, and more concrete state proves more compelling than the change we so desperately want.
In this interactive workshop, Dave will offer proven techniques to overcome our internal saboteurs and make our dreams for our lives and our impact on the world a reality.
