Our partner IDA India regularly cares for hundreds of dogs and cats at its Deonar Center in Mumbai, but the Outpatient Department there also provides a lifeline for animals and shows how much compassion there is in the community for helping them.  

Every single day the Outpatient Department is bustling with activity, and providing services for hundreds of animals every week. Between 2022 and 2023 we provided treatment for more than 6,200 animals who were brought in for help by caring community members.

Thanks to generous supporters, we’re able to provide everything from vaccinations and life-saving surgeries to spaying and neutering through our Animal Birth Control program at very low cost or free to ensure animals get the help they need.

We’re especially grateful to our dedicated staff, veterinarians, and vet techs who do everything they can to save lives and keep this operation running smoothly every day.

In addition to providing care to hundreds of animals every day, our Deonar Center is the permanent home to many other special resident dogs and cats who are receiving lifetime care.
