Getting into fights is sometimes inevitable for street dogs in India. This poor dog we dubbed an “unlikely warrior” was seriously injured in one last fall, but with weeks of love and care, he’s finally home.

Last October, our partner IDA India took in this dog who was injured in a fight over a mate and left with a terrible bite wound on his elbow.

We knew it would take weeks to heal, but it slowly did. Despite the pain he must’ve been in, he was still sweet and patient with our staff as they attended to him.

After five months of care, he was finally neutered and released back into the care of the feeders in his area.

We’re so glad we were able to help him get the care he desperately needed. Our Deonar Center in Mumbai is often the only hope animals like him have to get help.
